This was in the media yesterday...
FDA (& now Health Cda) looking at possible association btwn use of Singulair and mood changes, suicidal ideations in pts as result of case reports since the fall.
Merck has responded that there were no reports of this in
11,000 pts in the 40 trials they've conducted. Interestingly though, they have added tremor, depression, suicidal ideation/beh, anxiety to adverse events in product monograph
BOTTOM LINE FOR NOW:
If on pt already on it --> no need to stop, monitoring recommended
If starting it --> monitor carefully
