Hepatotoxicity Warning for Tysabri
The FDA has reported liver injury during use of Tysabri. Signs included markedly elevated hepatic enzymes and total bilirubin, which occurred as early as six days after the first dose. These elevated lab values, without evidence of obstruction, are recognized as an important predictor of severe injury that may lead to death or the need for a transplant in some patients. Tysabri should be discontinued in patients with jaundice or other evidence of significant liver injury.
